ZiRu is honored and expresses deep gratitude to have received grants awards from the San Mateo County Arts Commission and the Community Foundation of San Carlos for Project Dance-OFF in 2020.

ZiRu Dance Now Offers FREE Online Classes!

As dancers, we crave expression through mobility. Do you and/or your children want to move? Are you looking for outlets for creativity? For physical activity? For emotional processing? Us too! Exercise and raising endorphins are linked to people's overall happiness, and at a time like this, many people are cut off from their usual ways to work out and/or move. We do not need to stop moving. Let us help you!

We are excited to share the continuation of our FREE virtual dance classes for those in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Our dance classes come with personalized attention and are focused on creative expression.

ZiRu Dance offers a variety of leveled instruction taught by world-class professional dancers (you may have seen them perform before for our dance festival). They would normally be performing live, but are now available to teach dance classes from their living room to yours! We offer classes in break dancing, hip hop, urban contemporary, ballet, modern, and fitness – with options for all levels. Classes are geared toward ages 9 and up, with some classes specifically tailored to older children and adults. Group and private lessons in each style are also available; feel free to contact us to set up more classes just for your groups.

ZiRu Dance's new initiative: Dance Online-Free-For-All brings free dance classes to those affected by mental wellness as a result of COVID-19 and those suffering from Systemic Racism and Asian American Xenophobia.

As we collectively face uncertainty, it's more important than ever to promote diversity and explore the healing power of the arts.

Your donation to ZiRu's Project Dance-OFF provides a platform for our healthy, diverse, and sustainable community by kicking off a virtuous cycle in response to the global pandemic and increased awareness of inequity.

Majority of all funds are used to assist BIPOC Dance Artists affected by COVID-19 and Racism.
