Dr. Kochi Chang, D.D.S.
CEO/Founder of Prident International, Shanghai China. Prident International is the leading manufacturer of high-end dentures in the Greater China Region. Its parent company is Dentsply; the world’s largest dental supplier. Dr. Kochi Chang is the former President and CEO of Garfield Dental Group in Monterey Park, CA and former President of the Taiwan Medical Association in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Kochi Chang has been an active board member and in-kind donor for the dance production company since 2007.
Technology entrepreneur and co-founder of Webspective (bought by Inktomi 1999) and Open Environment (IPO 1995, acquired by Borland 1996). Keith is currently the Director of Product Management at start-up Teleplace, which crates immersive online spaces for businesses to train and work together. Since 2002 he has also run a professional photography business, specializing in stage events. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Princeton University, and is an alumnus of King George V in Hong Kong. Keith Weng has been a hands-on board member/supporter of ZiRu Productions since 2007
Athena Ting is a producer, writer, and artist who has been active in the Chinese, Taiwanese, and American art scenes for many years. In 1975, she founded Dragon Singers Chorus, a renowned choral group that has performed in the San Francisco Bay Area for almost 40 years. She has produced several music performances in the Bay Area, including a production at the esteemed Davis Symphony Hall. In addition to her service in the arts, Athena has participated in several cultural exchange programs such as English teaching programs for private schools in China. She has taught ESL and Mandarin at Peralta Vista College in Berkeley, CA. She also worked in the Distance Learning Program with Coast Line Community College of Orange County. She is, also, a song lyric writer and published poet.
Cindy has been involved in the US and Hong Kong modern dance communities since the early 1990s as a performer, choreographer, and educator. Her passion in modern dance and her knowledge of both Chinese and American cultures brings unique value t the advisory board. With a background as an award-winning creative copywriter and Creative Director in the advertising industry, Cindy brings with her a strong background in multicultural advertising. She has been learning about and practicing dance and movement instruction for young children since 2004, currently lives in Hong Kong, and is the mother of two dancing daughters. Having recently moved back to Hong Kong after having lived in the Bay Area for 10 years, Cindy is excited to be a part of ZiRu Productions’ cultural bridge.
Chris was introduced to modern dance through his 20+ year relationship with Cindy Chan. When not helping out with the kids (i.e. attending dance classes or performances), Chris is a technology-oriented entrepreneur and environment-focused management consultant. Chris was nominated Partner at global consulting firm ERM at age 32, and has since played a variety of business management and consulting roles in the environmental and energy consulting industries, including his current role as Director of Asia for London-based WSP (see Chris is currently based in Hong Kong.
